Use sandpaper to smoothen the walls of the surface where the tile board is to be applied. Make use of a piece of cloth to remove any dust particles on the back of the panels to ensure good bonding between the panels and the walls.
Hold the tile board panels at a level on the wall and draw a line.
Mix tile board adhesive and spread it at the back of the tile board panel. Make use of a 3/16” notched trowel to remove the excessive adhesive and to create ridges.
Press the tile board panel on the wall where it is to be fixed. Apply adhesive at the back of another panel and hold it against the wall.
Apply silicone caulk in the spaces between the tile board panels, this stops water from entering the gaps and causing damage to the tile board or wall.
